REPORT ON ORDINANCE NO.18 OF 1898.

I have examined the accompanying Ordinance, en-

"An Ordinance to amend the Law relating to the Registration of Trade Marks",

and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to the Governor's Instructions.

I submit herewith a Memorandum which I have prepared dealing with the Ordinance and showing the origin of its various sections. The rules will follow in the main those

in force in England and any variations will be due to local circumstances and in two cases to the suggestions of the Pre- sident of our Local Chamber of Commerce.

The Memorandum is annexed.
